During the preparation work for our Root Segment Firmware Upgrades the first switch in the Root Segment at CZ42 in the Rack L16 lost connectivity. We are currently investigating what happened.
Root customers without redundancy in the rack L16 might see a connectivity outage.
We are unable to repair this switch. We will replace it within the planed maintenance so that we are able to proceed with the maintenance tasks.

We've now resolved the incident. Thanks for your patience.

We will upgrade parts of our network infrastructure which also includes rebooting the devices inside the affected network segment. This will lead to connectivity interruptions of a few seconds up to one hour for all systems in this segment. Affected customers were informed directly about how long they should expect the respective interruption to last.

We are currently experiencing issues with our email infrastructure. Our team is working to resolve the issue.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
An update yesterday resulted in individual users no longer being able to log in via IMAP. Our team is actively collaborating with the software manufacturer to identify a permanent solution.
As a temporary workaround, we recommend resetting passwords for affected users. This can be done by your email administrator via Mailadmin at mailadmin.nine.ch. After the password reset, users should be able to log in successfully.
We appreciate your understanding as we work to resolve the problem as soon as possible.

The problem itself is not resolved, but the provided workaround solves the issue. If you still experience issues, please reach out to us at support@nine.ch.

We found a firmware problem in our virtualization infrastructure, to prevent any issues that might happen because of it, we decided to perform an emergency maintenance as soon as possible.
The firmware upgrades that were started last Sunday to Monday night took much longer than anticipated, therefore we require two additional extraordinary maintenance windows to complete the upgrades.
No service disruptions are expected and there will be no downtime of the virtual servers but there may be delays in processing changes that are made to virtual machines during the maintenance.

The scheduled maintenance is now underway. We'll keep you updated on our progress.

We found a firmware problem in our virtualization infrastructure, to prevent any issues that might happen because of it, we decided to perform an emergency maintenance as soon as possible.
At the same time, it is required that we upgrade some software components of our virtualization environment. They will improve it's stability and reliability as well as allow for the firmware upgrade.
